We are first and foremost Christians. We are not perfect, but we strive to do our best to follow the One who is...Jesus Christ.
Our congregation consists of all ages from various walks of life.
The founders of First Christian Church represented the farming community that was prevalent during that time period. Since then, their descendants have worked hard to demonstrate Christ's love to all who have entered the doors.
Over the years, military men and women whom serve our country on the nearby bases have found a home at First Christian Church as well as others who have moved to Onslow County for various other reasons.
Our primary goal is to help everyone see their worth through God's eyes regardless of their past or present circumstances. We stress the unmerited forgiveness and grace of God as we grow in relationship with Christ and others.
We are about community within the walls of the church as well as outside the walls. In partnership with the other Christian churches of Richlands, we serve our town, the area public and private schools, and the greater Onslow County. In addition, we take part in mission trips that carry us beyond state and country boundaries. We are a tithing church which means we literally give a minimum of 10% every year to ministries and missions that serve beyond the local congregation.
We have active youth, children's, men's, women's, and seniors' ministries. Our greatest joy comes when we see God's children using their gifts and talents for the glory of the Lord. Every person is valuable to the congregation and Christ's ministries.
We welcome you to worship with us!
Sundays at 8:30 a.m & 11:00 a.m.

SANCTUARY: The sanctuary is where all worship services take place on a weekly basis. In addition, this is where we host community worship services, occasional specially scheduled Christian music groups of various genres, holiday programs, and various other Christian gatherings. In the vestibule, we have a cry room available for parents to utilize as needed with small children. Also located in the vestibule is the multi-media room and restrooms. In the rear of the sanctuary, the choir room and heritage rooms are located. These rooms house the music and robes needed for the adult choir and artifacts that have been collected that represent the history of First Christian Church.
EDUCATION BUILDING: The education building serves a variety of purposes as it contains the fellowship hall, full kitchen, church office, senior pastor's office, nursery, Worship and Wonder chapel, and four classrooms. The fellowship hall is used for a number of congregational gatherings and meetings, as well as by other groups for family reunions, showers, meetings, and parties.
CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER (CLC): The Christian Life Center, otherwise known as the CLC, is a multipurpose building used primarily by the youth and children of First Christian Church. The CLC consists of the gym, mechanical room with washer and dryer, bathrooms with showers, the youth pastor's office, a warming kitchen, and three classrooms. The CLC is used for larger congregational gatherings, as well as community gatherings. It is also the location for youth lock-ins, children's Easter celebrations, craft bazaars, and dances. Groups outside the congregation also use the building for scout meetings, banquets, and various sports practices.
PICNIC SHELTER, GARAGE, AND PLAYGROUND: The picnic shelter is used for outdoor activities and meals. It is located between the garage and playground. The garage is used to store excess tables, chairs, worship resources, and paper products. The playground is utilized year-round by the children of the congregation and community.
